Quivira

Sort results:
Quivira Vineyards is located in the heart of the Dry Creek Valley, a warm coastal valley, 70 miles north of San Francisco, and 20 miles upstream from the Pacific Ocean. Quivira (pronounced "Kee-Veer-Ah!") continues a tradition of wine grape growing in Dry Creek which began with the first planting of Zinfandel in the 1860's. Quivira's vineyards span 90 acres, of which 72.5 are planted primarily with Zinfandel and Sauvignon Blanc as the primary varieties. Blending varieties grown on the estate include Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah, Semillon and Petite Sirah. Quivira specializes in varietal wines which excel specifically in the Dry Creek Valley - including Zinfandel and Sauvignon Blanc. Small lots of Rhone Varietals and Petite Sirah are also produced. At Quivira, we produce artisan wines in small lots, using hand-work and dedicated care. Ultimately, we believe in letting the unique characteristics of our “place” in Dry Creek Valley shine through the wines.
