Dense, dark and simply delicious. These three descriptors vividly explain this wine.
The aromas of black currants are intermixed with cedar, earth and vanillin. This full-bodied and opulent wine has a velvety texture and seamlessly integrated tannins. Undoubtedly one of the best made CJ's to date.

Wine Advocate

A good bargain (Napa speaking) is the 2007 CJ, a 1,300-case blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest equal parts Merlot and Petit Verdot. This seductive, hedonistic, dense ruby/purple-colored offering exhibits plenty of black currant, licorice, smoke, and earth characteristics along with an outstanding texture, good plushness and opulence, and 7-10 years of life ahead of it.

Score: 90. —Robert Parker, December 2009.
