This precocious vineyard is finally showing strength and a youthful complexity that I much admire in other wines. I like its assertive nose and exuberant body as well as the clean finish. The wine has much Cabernet Franc in it yet seems to have that herbal and mineral side to it that I look for in the wines I taste and buy. I was not sure how this vineyard would go but with all the patience of a saint, Chris Hoon the vineyard manager, has brought to Andrew Will a truly complex and well ripened fruit. We continue to work row by row with this area and we are hopeful that in a few years the
growing reputation which this much maligned part of
Washington has had in the past will morph into a truly
compelling area for growing Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, and Petite Verdot.
Wine Advocate
The 2006 Two Blondes Vineyard is sourced from a vineyard in Yakima Valley owned by Camarda. It is a blend of 43% Cabernet Franc, 29% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 28% Merlot. It offers up aromas of balsam wood, cinnamon, sage, incense, black cherry, and black currant. This is followed by supple, ripe wine with fine-grained tannins, savory flavors, and excellent balance. Dense and concentrated, it will continue to blossom with another 2-3 years of bottle age and offer a drinking window extending from 2011 to 2023. 92+.

Wine Enthusiast
Bright and spicy and loaded with great, clean, pure fruit flavors. This is exemplary for the ’06 vintage; a wine of lovely purity and focus. Fresh and very spicy, quite bright and loaded with mixed strawberries, plums, tropical and even stone fruits. Definitely the biggest and most complete Two Blondes bottling to date.

Certified organic vineyards must meet Demeter"s additional criteria for a period of one year before earning the designation "biodynamic."
Sustainably Grown
Sustainable practices incorporate organic standards and may exceed them and include ecologically and socially sound business practices such as fair pay for farm workers and energy conservation.
Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.

Wines that are still in the barrel and have yet to be bottled. Futures offer the opportunity to invest in a wine before it arrives in our store.

Wine Spectator is a lifestyle magazine that focuses on wine and wine culture. It publishes 15 issues per year with content that includes news, articles, profiles, and general entertainment pieces. I still believe it is the simplest way to rate a wine, with its origins from grade school in the United States. A wine that I rate 90 points or more is outstanding (A), and worth buying. If I rate a wine 95 points or more (A+), it is a must buy.
